Locums - Bellingham, Washington, Endocrinology Opening

We are seeking a Board-Certified Endocrinologist for an outpatient-only locum assignment in Bellingham, Washington to cover a gap in care. This is a clinic-based role with no rounding or admissions, offering a predictable weekday schedule.

• Start: ASAP (targeting end of February with urgent credentialing)

• Duration: 6 months

• Practice Setting: Outpatient clinic

• Type of Privileges: Clinic

• Reason for Coverage: Gap in coverage

• Schedule:

  • Monday–Friday

  • 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM (8-hour days)

• Call Requirement:

  • Answering service pager only

  • Business hours (8a–5p)

  • Hospital patients only

• Patient Population: Ages 16+

• Average Patient Volume: 12–16 patients per day

• Endocrinology, diabetes, and metabolism care

• No inpatient rounding

• No admissions

• Case logs required

• Documentation of endocrinology, diabetes, and metabolism services

• Must represent scope and complexity of requested privileges

• Services provided within the previous 24 months

• EMR: Epic

• Board Certified in Endocrinology – Required

• Active Washington State License – Required at time of presentation

  • IMLC will NOT be accepted due to urgency

• BLS Certification – Required

• Outpatient-only focus with no hospital rounding

• Predictable weekday schedule

• Manageable daily patient volume

• Urgent credentialing for a quick start
