LOCUM TENENS ENDOCRINOLOGIST: LOW-STRESS 13-WEEK ASSIGNMENT

Major Academic Health System | Central Connecticut Area

The Opportunity: Stress-Free, Fixed-Term Coverage

This is a focused, 13-week locum contract designed for an Endocrinologist prioritizing a light, structured workload and zero administrative burden. If your goal is maximizing income, do not apply. If your goal is predictable coverage with all overhead handled, this is your opening.

The Financials: Simple, All-Inclusive, and Non-Negotiable

The fixed, non-negotiable rate is $250.00/hour, which is inclusive of:

  1. Malpractice Coverage

  2. All Travel Expenses

  3. All Lodging Expenses

  • Reality Check: This rate is your take-home budget. The value proposition is the elimination of logistics and overhead costs, allowing you to focus purely on clinical care.

The Role: Guaranteed Low Intensity

This is a manageable, outpatient-only assignment focused almost entirely on Geriatrics, ensuring a predictable clinical environment.

  • Schedule: Full-time (40 hours/week), Mon - Fri, with an early close time: 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM.

  • Duration: 13 Weeks (January 9, 2026 – April 9, 2026). Potential for extension based on need.

  • Workload: Extremely controlled volume. You are limited to a maximum of 10 patients per 4-hour session.

    • New Patients: 40 minutes allotted.

    • Follow-up Patients: 20 minutes allotted.

    • Average: 20 patients per day. This is a low-volume, low-intensity pace.

  • Setting: 100% Outpatient Endocrine Clinic (Diabetes, Thyroid, Adrenal, Pituitary, etc.).

  • System: EMR is EPIC.

Candidate Profile: Non-Negotiables

We prioritize local candidates, but all those meeting the core requirements below are considered.

  1. Active Connecticut Medical License.

  2. Board Certified (BC) in Endocrinology.

  3. Minimum 3-5 years of Endocrinology experience preferred.

  4. Onsite Requirement: This is an onsite position.

The Benefit: Focus and Lifestyle

  • Protected Time: The strictly limited patient volume (max 20/day) ensures low burnout and high-quality charting time. This is your primary benefit.

  • Administrative Zero: Malpractice, travel, and housing are completely handled and consolidated into the rate. You manage zero logistics.

  • Early Finish: Consistent 3:30 PM end time offers substantial afternoon free time and work-life balance.
