Job Description

An Ocala based client is looking for an experienced and collaborative Endocrinologist to join an innovative multidisciplinary practice. An ideal candidate has a strong work ethic, is goal-oriented, and thrives in a fast-paced environment. This clinic provides medical care to patients for endocrine disorders including thyroid disorders, diabetes, and others. Referrals are sent from internal to the organization and from outside sources.

Required Qualifications

  • Graduate of an accredited medical school and residency
  • Active FL medical license
  • Board certification or eligible in endocrinology
  • Active DEA certification
  • CPR certification

Preferred Qualifications

  • 1-2 years of experience

Responsibilities

  • Provide endocrinology care including diagnosis, treatment, follow-up, and discharge
  • Provide patient referrals to other providers as appropriate
  • Maintain legible, legal documentation in patient charts as directed by department policies
  • Participate in continuing education to stay abreast on new techniques and procedures in the field of endocrinology
  • Accurately code, ensure prior authorization for procedures, and document all encounters
