My client in USVI St. Croix has added dates for Emergency Medicine coverage date sets, for 2020 2021, You might be interested in a set. March 30 to April 9, 2020 .... June 11 to June 24, 2020 .... July 5 to July 17, 2020 .... Dec. 22 to January 8, 2021. .... include travel dates. Just as in past years, this is for 2 week assignments (my clients prefers 2 weeks but will take 1 full week in a pinch). Arrive on a Sunday; work a schedule, Leave 7-14 days later.
They are Interested in someone with an outgoing personality, on top of clinical skills. Being that this is the Virgin Islands this it is a "laid back" but also a very professional environment. Kaye Bassman has been providing LT physicians (every specialty), as well as permanent placement to this facility for * 5 years. The staff is well trained, friendly, supportive of LT doctors, and very used to having LTs in their ER. They really appreciate physicians coming down to fill these gaps. The ER is Low, to medium acuity (not to say that they don't have gunshot wounds, stabbings, car wrecks ... just infrequent) @ 1400-1700 patients per Month. The Work is done in 12 hour shifts 3 schedules. 7am - 7pm, 7pm -7am, 11am - 11pm. You will have days off to enjoy the Islands.

The Hospital will provide all Air Travel, Housing (usually a 1 bdrm. condo), Rent Car. We provide the Occurrence based Medical Malpractice Insurance, with full paid tail. These assignments are extremely popular ... the excellent Staff ... the friendly colleagues ... along with the fact that the Islands are tropical a paradise.

This is also an undeserved population, and people really go out of their way to show their appreciation. Almost all of my Doctors extend, if they have the availability, or schedule additional dates in the year. I have not had a single physician work on this assignment, and not absolutely love it.

You don't have to wait for months to be paid by the hospital directly. *Kaye Bassman pays you (on your approved time sheet) by straight deposit into your checking account, every week.

You need to be BC / BE in EM or FM. Familiar with EMR systems (theirs is Meditech), have *recent* TB screening results, *recent* Hep B, a simple letter from Your PCP stating you are healthy enough to work, along with * Two Peer Recommendation Letters (very important) . *Current 25 CME credits. (ATLS non board certified EM) ACLS, PALS, Plus the usual package of all diplomas issued by Med Schools, Residencies, and Fellowship Programs etc. You can not have any recent (10years) Medical Malpractice payouts, Any (0) License, Board, or Legal negative actions .
This is a *fast* License and Credentialing process, 1 week (if all required documents complete and submitted)
Any US State Medical License will work. All travel is done with your Drivers License, no passport needed.
