Opportunity - Emergency Medicine Physicians for Hood Memorial Hospital - Critical Access Facility in Amite City, Louisiana!

We are looking for full-time and part-time providers to join our physician leadership team at our new critical access facility in Amite, Louisiana.

Physician Requirements:
  • BC/BE in Emergency Medicine, Family Practice, or Internal Medicine
  • Current ATLS, ACLS, and PALS for non-BC-EM physicians
  • Current unrestricted Louisiana state medical license and DEA
  • 400 hours of Emergency Department Experience required over the last 2 years
  • 12-hour shifts
  • Third-year residents accepted

The Hospital & Community
Hood Memorial Hospital is a 25-bed critical access acute and specialty care hospital that provides services for the tri-parish area of Tangipahoa, St. Helena, and Washington, Louisiana. Hood Memorial Hospital strives to operate in an ethical and financially responsible manner as they provide a hometown atmosphere with a focus on collaborative efforts. New services and programs including Tulane Telestroke and Telemedicine programs, women's health services, and expanded specialty clinic continue to focus on the communities we serve. The emergency department has 6 beds with an annual ED volume of 10,000 patients. Single physician coverage, 12-hour shifts with shifts from 7a-7p and 7p-7a. Hood Memorial Hospital utilizes CMR for their EMR in the ED.
Although it is a small town with a 2010 census of 4,100, Amite, Louisiana is home to several festivities, including some of the Pelican State’s most famous fairs and festivals.
