Position Profile:

• Board Certified or Board Eligible Emergency Medicine, Family Medicine or Internal Medicine considered
• 10 total ER beds, including 2 Trauma rooms and 1 Triage room
• Annual Volume of 15,000­ 70% day­ 30% nights
• Midlevel Coverage
• Schedule: 12 hour shifts
• Patient acuity is fairly moderate
• Admission rate 6%

Cobre Valley Regional Medical Center, located in Globe, Arizona, has been serving the community for nearly 100 years. Over 20 different types of physicians serve the community ranging from family practice to cardiology to geriatric medicine. A major renovation/expansion of the hospital occurred in 2009 and the growth of the hospital continues as it is one of the major core strategies delegated by the hospital Board. Outreach of services to the surrounding communities is very important to the hospital which is why there are now 5 regional clinics – a surgical services clinic, a specialty clinic and 3 Rural Health Clinics located in Kearny, Superior, and Pleasant Valley.

This is the place where forests, lakes, deserts, and sky meet between 2,000 and 8,000 feet above sea level. The best part? It is only 90 minutes from the greater Phoenix area. Located within the Tonto National Forest, this area is surrounded by some of the most spectacular mountain vistas in the Southwest.
