Emergency Medicine Job in Iowa | $278/Hour | 35 Days Vacation | Low-Volume ED
Job at a glance
Job description
Rediscover a more sustainable pace in Emergency Medicine without stepping away from meaningful clinical work. This full-time employed opportunity is with an independent, nonprofit community hospital where physicians can focus on practicing medicine in a close-knit environment rather than navigating the intensity of a large trauma center. The ED director specifically described the pace as “a breath of fresh air,” making this an appealing option for physicians ready for greater balance in their careers. You will still encounter chest pain, trauma stabilization, and acutely ill patients, but within a setting designed around manageable volume and strong clinical backup. The hospital is seeking another board-certified Emergency Medicine physician to strengthen a team that currently includes both Emergency Medicine and Family Medicine-trained physicians. With an immediate opening and an additional full-time position anticipated in summer 2027, this is an opportunity to become an important part of a community-based emergency program.
