Join Our Team as a Pediatric Emergency Medicine Physician in Las Vegas, NV
Pediatrix is excited to invite a fellowship-trained Pediatric Emergency Medicine physician to become part of our dynamic and supportive team at a bustling pediatric emergency department located in Las Vegas, NV. This facility handles a diverse range of pediatric patients, offers robust subspecialty support, and provides excellent teaching opportunities, all within a vibrant city known for its endless outdoor activities.
Job Responsibilities:
- Provide high-quality emergency care to pediatric patients in a high-volume setting (~55,000 annual visits).
- Collaborate closely with subspecialty teams, including PICU, CVICU, NICU, and hospitalists for complex case management.
- Work alongside a strong support team, including child life specialists and pediatric social workers dedicated to ER presence.
- Engage in bedside teaching and supervise Pediatric, Emergency Medicine, and Family Practice residents from six programs.
- Participate in training and didactic sessions for Pediatric ER fellows if desired.
- Benefit from full scribe coverage to optimize patient care and documentation.
- Work fair, balanced shifts with potential for overtime if desired.
- Join a physician-led team with excellent compensation and institutional support.
- Experience a rich mix of pathology and patient acuity in a collaborative, multidisciplinary environment.
- Accepting fellowship-trained PEM physicians, including fresh graduates and experienced candidates.
- This is a permanent, full-time position that requires residency within the immediate local area, with relocation possible.
Qualifications:
- Board Eligible or Board Certified in Pediatric Emergency Medicine – REQUIRED
- Fellowship trained in Pediatric Emergency Medicine – REQUIRED
- Nevada Medical License or eligibility to obtain – REQUIRED
- Clean malpractice and medical license history – HIGHLY PREFERRED
- Must be willing to relocate if not already living in the area – REQUIRED
- Visa support may be required (J1 or H1B) – REQUIRED
License and Certification Requirements:
- Active Nevada Medical License or eligibility to obtain one.
- Board Eligible or Board Certified in Pediatric Emergency Medicine.
- Fellowship training in Pediatric Emergency Medicine.
