Assignment Details Location: Fortuna, California Coverage Dates: October 9–26, 2026 Duration: Limited to the listed shifts; ongoing coverage is not confirmed Setting: Hospital-based emergency department Call: None EMR: Epic Credentialing: Approximately 15 days Temporary Privileges: Available for physicians with clean files Orientation: Required the day before the first shift Guaranteed Hours: Eight hours per scheduled shift ### Open Shifts October 9: 11:00 PM–8:00 AM October 10: 11:00 PM–8:00 AM October 11: 11:00 PM–8:00 AM October 12: 3:00 PM–12:00 AM October 22: 9:00 PM–6:00 AM October 23: 9:00 PM–6:00 AM October 24: 9:00 PM–6:00 AM October 25: 9:00 PM–6:00 AM October 26: 9:00 PM–6:00 AM ### Requirements ABEM- or AOBEM-certified Emergency Medicine physician Board-eligible physicians within three to five years of residency may be considered ABIM- and ABFM-certified physicians are not accepted Active California medical license Active California DEA registration Active ACLS and BLS certifications Current CV required at submission Clean professional, malpractice, and licensing history required for temporary privileges ### Clinical Details 32-bed emergency department Approximately 110 patients during each 24-hour period Level III trauma designation Full 24-hour access to: - Anesthesia - Cardiothoracic and vascular surgery - General and orthopedic surgery - Neurosurgery - Cardiac catheterization - Laboratory and radiology No APP supervision or teaching responsibilities
