We are seeking a Locums Emergency Medicine Physician for an ongoing (min. 6 months) coverage opportunity in Nashville, Tennessee. This is an on-site emergency medicine position with a manageable patient volume and a 12-bed Emergency Department.
Position Highlights
- Duration: Ongoing- At least 6 months
- Schedule: 6:00 AM–6:00 PM or 6:00 PM–6:00 AM
- No call
- 12-bed Emergency Department
- Census: Fewer than 30 patients per day
- Admissions: Fewer than 10 per day
- On-site coverage
- Full scope of Emergency Medicine procedures
Responsibilities
- Evaluate, diagnose, and treat emergency department patients.
- Manage acute and emergent medical conditions.
- Perform emergency procedures,
including:
- Procedural sedation
- Endotracheal intubation
- Central line placement
- Other standard ED procedures within scope of practice
- Stabilize and disposition patients appropriately.
- Coordinate consultations, admissions, transfers, and follow-up care.
- Provide timely and accurate medical documentation.
Qualifications
- Board Certified or Board Eligible in Emergency Medicine
- Must have successfully completed an Emergency Medicine residency
- ABEM certification or eligibility required
- Current Tennessee medical license
