Physician - Emergency Medicine
Job Details:
Site Medical Director position in Emergency Medicine120 hours per month with a ratio of 33 administrative hours and 87 clinical hours
Must have at least 3 years of prior leadership experience
Must be Emergency Medicine board certified with a Florida license and Florida DEA
Administrative shifts are 8 hours; clinical shifts vary between 9-12 hours
SMD typically does not work night shifts unless there is a business need
44-bay Emergency Department with a patient volume of 1.51 patients per hour
Patient mix includes both adults and pediatrics
Trauma center designation: Level 2 Florida, Level 1 Alabama
Physician coverage of 44 hours per day; APP coverage of 46 hours per day
Nurse/APP triage available for lower acuity patients
ED admission rate of 25%
Case logs required for any surgical cases (central lines, intubation, etc.) for the last 2 years
Two shadow shifts for orientation with RMD serving as mentor and backup during that period
