JOB REQUIREMENTS

• Board: Board Certified in EM, FM, IM, or GS
• Licenses: Active, unrestricted Texas Medical License; Active Texas DEA with Texas address and schedules 2, 2N, 3, 3N, 4, & 5
• DEA / CDS: Active Texas DEA with Texas address and schedules 2, 2N, 3, 3N, 4, & 5
• Certifications: Emergency Medicine Board Certified – no additional certifications required; Non-EM Board Certified – BLS, ACLS, PALS, ATLS required
• Experience: Minimum 2 years of recent clinical experience in Emergency Medicine or related specialty
• Other Qualifications: Two years of case logs and two years of CME/CEU documentation required

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

• Provide emergency medical care in a Level IV Trauma Center with 24-hour physician coverage
• Work 12-hour shifts (7a–7p and 7p–7a) managing a high-volume ED with 31,000 annual visits
• Evaluate and treat a wide range of emergency cases consistent with EM, FM, IM, or GS training
• Document patient encounters and manage workflows using the Medhost EMR system
• Maintain compliance with all credentialing, privileging, and immunization requirements
