PATIENT INFORMAION

• Average Daily Volume: Appoximately 66 patients per day
• Case Mix: General emergency cases, including fast track
• No. of Beds in Department: 12 ED beds, 5 Fast track beds
• EMR System: Cerner
• Support Staff Available: NP/PA coverage 20-24 hours daily

PRIVILEGES & COMILIANCE

• Hospital Privileges Required: Yes
• Credentialing Timeline:

• Board: BC/BE in Emergeny Medicne, Family Practice, or Internal Medicne. AAPS/ABPS accepted.
• Licenses: Active unrestricted NC medical license and DEA w/ NC address & schedules 2,2N,3,3N,4 &5
• DEA / CDS: Active DEA with NC address and CDS (schedules 2,2N,3,3N,4,5)
• Certifications: ACLS, PALS, ATLS preferred; required if not ABEM boarded.
• Experience: Recent grads accepted
• Other Qualifictions: CME Attestion form or proof of CME documets last 2 years; Case logs last 2 years; Health Status Statement completed by other provider.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

• Provide comprehensive emergeny medical care to patients in the ED
• Manage patient flow and supervise NP/PA staff during shifts
• Perform emergency procedures as needed (intubation, central lines, etc.)
• Document patient evals, treatmets, and discharge summaries in Cerner
• Work night shifts as required and ensure 24-hour coverage
