JOB REQUIREMENTS

• Board: BC/BE in Emergency Medicine (ABEM)
• Licenses: Active TX Medical License, DEA with TX address
• DEA / CDS: Active DEA with schedules 2,2N,3,3N,4,5
• Certifications: ACLS, ATLS
• Experience: Residency trained in Emergency Medicine, minimum 15,000 patient encounters annually
• Other Qualifications: Case logs for past 2 years, CMEs for past 2 years (including 4 hours Stroke and 4 hours Trauma), proof of immunizations (TB/Chest Xray, Flu, COVID, MMR, Hep B, Varicella, Tdap)

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

• Provide comprehensive emergency medical care to patients presenting at a Level III Trauma Center with high annual volume.
• Manage acute medical, surgical, trauma, and stroke cases in collaboration with multidisciplinary subspecialty backup.
• Work 12-hour rotating day and night shifts as part of physician and APP coverage teams.
• Perform emergency procedures including conscious sedation when requested, along with typical ED procedures such as intubation, central line placement, and wound management.
• Supervise and collaborate with Advanced Practice Providers (APPs) during overlapping shifts and ensure compliance with facility protocols and credentialing requirements.
