JOB REQUIREMENTS

• Board: BC in Emergency Medicine (ABEM) or Family Medicine (ABFM) or Internal Medicine (ABIM)
• Licenses: Active Iowa medical license, CDS, DEA with Iowa address
• DEA / CDS: Active DEA and CDS required
• Certifications: ACLS, ATLS, PALS required
• Experience: Residency trained in Emergency Medicine, Family Medicine, or Internal Medicine
• Other Qualifications: CME past 2 years, case logs past 2 years, copies of education/training diplomas, SS Card, Driver's license, color photo, TB/FLU/Hep B/MMR/VARICELLA immunization records, must complete in-person EMR training prior to first shift

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

• Provide comprehensive emergency medical care to patients presenting to the ED
• Perform emergency procedures including intubation, suturing, central line placement, etc.
• Collaborate with hospitalist program and other specialty services for patient management
• Supervise and coordinate with NP/PA coverage during shifts
• Maintain compliance with hospital privileging, credentialing, and documentation standards
