Locums Emergency Medicine Physician

We are seeking a Locums Emergency Medicine Physician to provide coverage in Berlin, New Hampshire. The immediate need is for a 24-hour shift beginning at 8:00 AM on December 29, 2026, with opportunities for additional occasional shifts on an ongoing basis.

The ideal physician will be semi-local and within driving distance, and willing to join the provider roster for future 24-hour shifts as coverage needs arise across affiliated hospitals.

Position Highlights

• Immediate coverage: December 29, 2026, at 8:00 AM
• 24-hour shifts: 8:00 AM–8:00 AM
• Ongoing, occasional shifts available
• Approximately 8,500 ED visits per year
• Approximately 25+/- patients per day
• Rural Critical Access Hospital setting
• Solo physician coverage
• 24/7 support from Anesthesia, General Surgery, OB/GYN, Orthopedics, and Hospital Medicine
• EMR: Meditech
• Tertiary referral hospitals available for support as needed
• Semi-local candidates preferred; driving distance strongly preferred

Requirements

• Board Certified in Emergency Medicine or Family Medicine
• Completion of an ACGME-, AOA-, or Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada-accredited residency in Emergency Medicine, Family Practice, General Surgery, or Internal Medicine
• New Hampshire medical license required
• Permanent NH license preferred
• Temporary licenses are not accepted
• Minimum of 100 patient encounters within the past 12 months
• ACLS, PALS, ATLS, and NRP certification through the American Heart Association required
