Locums | Emergency Medicine | Portage, WI (any state license accepted or IMLC) Why This Role

  • Any state license accepted via Act 10 expedited pathway, or IMLC
  • No call
  • Board certified
  • Strong support — telestroke, tele-ICU, UW helicopter on site
  • Short block plus ongoing 2027 needs — locums-to-perm potential
Assignment Details Start/end: 11/25 through 11/27 (short block); ongoing coverage needs in 2027 Schedule: Days 6am-6:30pm; no call Coverage type: Emergency department (ED/UC setting) Volume: ~20 patients/shift; 40-60 patients/24 hours; 13 beds Setting: Level 4 trauma; 30 minutes from Madison, 20 from Wisconsin Dells; General Surgery, Orthopedics, and collaborative Hospitalist team; telestroke and tele-ICU services; UW helicopter on site; 24/7 anesthesia, general surgery, orthopedics, radiology, lab Support: 4 RNs, 1 MA, 2 PA/NPs, 1 office staff EMR: Epic Credentialing: ~90 days; temp privileges available Clinical Details Required scope: Emergency medicine in a combined ED/UC setting Requirements Board certified in Emergency Medicine License: any state accepted or IMLC ACLS, ATLS Active DEA Compensation Rate negotiable, open to your number Malpractice provided Travel and lodging reimbursed
