### Locums | Emergency Medicine | Iron Mountain, MI ### Why This Role

  • Ongoing need for approximately 6‚Äì8 shifts per month
  • Consecutive night-shift blocks anticipated
  • ABEM physicians strongly preferred
  • New graduates welcome ###
Assignment Details Start date: As soon as credentialed Duration: Ongoing; no specific end date provided Primary need: Approximately 6–8 shifts per month Primary shift: 6pm–6am Night shifts will likely be consecutive or scheduled in blocks Additional physician shifts: - 6am–2pm - 1pm–9pm Physicians may also cover APC shifts: - 9am–9pm - 11am–11pm Setting: Emergency department No call Annual volume: Approximately 20,000 emergency visits EMR: Allscripts Sunrise Credentialing: Approximately 60 days Temporary privileges: Available Multiple providers considered ### Requirements Board certified or board eligible ABEM certification strongly preferred Current AHA-issued BLS, ACLS, ATLS, and PALS certifications No pending malpractice claims Must have ongoing availability ### Clinical Details Emergency physician responds to codes Hospitalists manage admissions Newborn deliveries may be received in the emergency department Labor and Delivery department available 24/7 support includes: - Anesthesia - General surgery - Laboratory - Radiology - Operating room response
