### Locums | Emergency Medicine | Avon, IN (IN License or IMLC) ### Why This Role

  • Six physicians needed for ongoing coverage
  • Approximately 6‚Äì10 shifts per month
  • Mix of day, overnight, and weekend shifts
  • Comprehensive 24/7 specialty support ###
Assignment Details Assignment Status: Ongoing; no specific end date Start Date: As soon as credentialed Primary Location: IU Health West Hospital in Avon, Indiana Secondary Privileges: IU Health North Hospital in Carmel Commitment: Approximately 6–10 shifts per month Shift Length: Eight- and nine-hour shifts Scheduling: Day, overnight, and weekend coverage Setting: Emergency Department Department Size: 28 beds Volume: Approximately 15–20 patients per shift Admissions: Required as clinically indicated EMR: Cerner Credentialing: Approximately 90–120 days Temporary Privileges: Available ### Requirements Board-Certified or Board-Eligible Emergency Medicine Physician Active Indiana license or IMLC eligibility Emergency Medicine residency training preferred ABEM certification strongly preferred Willingness to work overnight, weekend, and day shifts Availability for approximately 6–10 shifts per month Ability to obtain privileges at both Avon and Carmel locations Cerner experience preferred ### Clinical Details Evaluate and treat unassigned Emergency Department patients Manage a broad range of acuity and emergency presentations Complete admissions when clinically necessary Collaborate with two to three RNs and one to two APPs Anesthesia, Cardiothoracic Surgery, Cardiology, General Surgery, Neurosurgery, Orthopedics, Radiology, and Vascular Surgery support available around the clock No APP supervision, resident supervision, or teaching responsibilities
