Emergency MD
Location: FL
Schedule: 12-hour physician coverage shifts
Position Overview
Provide emergency medicine physician coverage within a documented emergency department setting and perform procedures listed on the delineation of privileges.
Key Responsibilities
Provide emergency medicine coverage in a 16-bed emergency department with approximately 36,000 annual visits
Work 12-hour shifts as scheduled (shift types noted in the job details)
Document care using Cerner EMR
Perform all procedures listed on the facility's delineation of privileges
Maintain compliance with credentialing and onboarding requirements
Required Qualifications
Active, unrestricted Florida medical license
Active DEA registration with a Florida address
Board Eligible/Board Certified in Emergency Medicine, or Board Eligible/Board Certified in Family Medicine or Internal Medicine with documented Emergency Medicine experience
Required certifications: ACLS, PALS, ATLS (ATLS may be waived for ABEM-certified physicians)
Case logs and CME documentation from the past 2 years required
Credentialing / Onboarding
Flu vaccination within the last 12 months, TB screening within the last 12 months, and current COVID documentation required
Florida Background Screening Requirement
Certain Florida assignments require a Level 2 background screening through the Florida Care Provider Background Screening Clearinghouse before placement. Learn more at https://info.flclearinghouse.com.
