Family Medicine Physician locum assignment with EM experience- Winter Haven, Florida

Opportunity Overview:

We are seeking qualified Family Medicine Physicians with extensive EM experience for a modern freestanding emergency department in the Winter Haven/Auburndale, Florida area.

This is an excellent opportunity to provide emergency care in a community-based setting with dedicated trauma and pediatric treatment capabilities, while benefiting from seamless access to a nearby full-service hospital and specialty services.

Candidate Requirements:

• Board Certified or Board Eligible in Family Medicine or Internal Medicine (ABFM/ABIM)
• Board Certified in Family Medicine or Internal Medicine physicians may be considered with 3 years of Emergency Medicine experience
• ACLS and PALS required
• Must be flexible to work days, nights, and weekends
• Preference for providers who are willing to work at the affiliated main hospital as well as freestanding emergency departments

Emergency Department Profile:

• Approximately 19,000 projected annual patient visits
• Approximately 52 patient visits per day
• 12 private patient care beds
• Dedicated trauma room
• Dedicated pediatric treatment room
• Fully integrated with a nearby hospital
• Patients requiring inpatient admission are transported to the main hospital campus or another affiliated facility with seamless care handoff to intensivists, hospitalists, and specialists

Schedule & Coverage:

• Locum need is equivalent to approximately 2 full-time physicians
• Providers must be flexible with day, night, and weekend coverage
• Affiliated freestanding emergency departments require 12-hour shifts
• Main hospital campus may consider shifts shorter than 12 hours
• Site Directors will conduct phone interviews with potential locum providers and can address questions regarding the assignment during the interview

Important Requirements:
