Family Medicine Physician locum assignment with EM experience - Apopka, Florida

Opportunity Overview:

We are seeking a qualified Emergency Medicine Physician for a state-of-the-art freestanding emergency department in the Apopka, Florida area.

This is an excellent opportunity to work in a modern emergency department with private patient care rooms, dedicated trauma capabilities, advanced diagnostic imaging, and seamless access to a nearby Level II Trauma Center for patients requiring inpatient care.

Candidate Requirements:

• Board Certified or Board Eligible in Family Medicine (ABFM)
• Board Certified Family Medicine physicians with extensive Emergency Medicine experience
• Minimum 6,000 cumulative hours of Emergency Department experience
• Must have worked full-time in the Emergency Room during the past 3 years
• ACLS and PALS required
• ATLS is recommended but not required
• EMR: Meditech

Emergency Department Profile:

• Modern freestanding emergency department
• Approximately 12,385 projected visits during the first year
• 11 private patient care beds
• Dedicated trauma room
• Advanced diagnostic imaging, including:
  • CT
  • Ultrasound
  • X-ray
• Dedicated ambulance bay for EMS access
• Fully integrated with a nearby Level II Trauma Center
• Patients requiring inpatient admission are transported to the main hospital campus with seamless handoff to intensivists, hospitalists, and specialists
