Family Medicine Physician locum assignment with EM experience - Mount Dora, Florida

Opportunity Overview:

We are seeking a qualified Family Medicine Physician locum assignment with EM experience for a new, state-of-the-art freestanding emergency department in the Mount Dora, Florida area.

This is an excellent opportunity to work in a modern emergency department offering comprehensive diagnostic services, private treatment rooms, and 24-hour physician coverage.

Candidate Requirements:

• Board Certified or Board Eligible in Family Medicine (ABFM)
• Minimum 3 years of full-time Emergency Department experience
• At least 6,000 hours of Emergency Department experience
• Must have worked full-time in an Emergency Room during the 3 years immediately preceding application
• ACLS and PALS required
• ATLS is recommended but not required
• Board Certified Family Medicine or Internal Medicine physicians may be considered only if they meet the 6,000-hour ER experience requirement and have full-time Emergency Room experience within the preceding 3 years
• EMR: Meditech

Emergency Department Profile:

• Brand-new, state-of-the-art freestanding emergency department
• 12 private exam rooms
• Dedicated trauma room
• Approximately 11,000 annual emergency department visits
• 24-hour physician coverage
• Approximately 1.3 patients per hour
• On-site diagnostic imaging, including:
  • X-ray
  • CT scans with and without contrast
• 24/7 ultrasound availability with approximately 30-minute response time
• On-site laboratory services
