• Patient Volume: Approximately 15 patient encounters per shift

Job Requirements

• Board certified or board eligible in Emergency Medicine
• ABEM preferred; Family Medicine or Internal Medicine training considered with extensive emergency medicine experience
• Active Oregon medical license required
• DEA certification required
• BLS, ACLS, and PALS required
• ATLS required
• NRP highly preferred
• Clean credentialing file preferred
• Must be comfortable intubating patients

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality emergency medicine care in a general emergency department setting
• Manage a steady, low-volume patient flow with efficient clinical decision-making
• Work both day and night shifts, with greater need for night coverage
• Perform intubations and other essential emergency procedures as needed
• Stabilize, evaluate, and treat patients presenting to the emergency room
• Collaborate with a supportive healthcare team and ensure smooth shift handoffs
• Provide coverage for a facility that also receives newborn deliveries in the ED
• Maintain accurate documentation and timely patient charting
