Position: Locum Tenens Emergency Medicine Physician

Location: Seaside, OR

EMR: Epic

Start Date: November 1, 2026 – Ongoing (Seeking 1–2 providers)

Credentialing Timeline: ~60 Days (Temporary privileges available for November start with clean background only; non-clean files pushed to December)

Schedule & Shift Expectations

  • Volume Requirement: 10–12 shifts per month minimum (flexible scheduling)
  • Shift Rotation: Must be willing to work a ~50/50 mix of days and nights (heavy emphasis on night shift coverage)
  • Shift Times: 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM (Day) or 6:00 PM – 7:00 AM (Night)
  • Call Duty: None (Inpatient hourly coverage only)

Clinical Environment & Scope

  • Patient Volume: Low volume ED setting; overtime is rare as handoffs occur promptly at shift change
  • Key Procedures: Must be proficient in airlock/airway management, specifically patient intubation
  • Interview Process: Phone interview with Medical Director

Qualifications & Requirements

  • Board Status: ABEM Board Certified/Eligible highly preferred. BE within 3 years of residency; FM/IM board-certified physicians with extensive EM experience will be considered.
  • Licensure: Active Oregon State Medical License and active DEA.
  • Certifications: Active BLS, ACLS, PALS, and ATLS required (NRP is highly preferred).
  • File Requirements: Clean files required (no malpractice history or NPDB actions) for temporary privileging.
