Job Requirements

• Board Certified Physician required
• MD degree required
• Minimum of 1 year of Emergency Medicine experience required
• Active North Carolina Medicaid credentialing and PECOS enrollment required
• Ability to provide solo Emergency Department coverage during scheduled shifts
• Comfort managing a broad range of emergency medicine presentations in a high-volume setting

Responsibilities

• Provide standard solo Emergency Department coverage during 12-hour shifts
• Evaluate, diagnose, and treat a diverse mix of Emergency Medicine patients
• Work collaboratively with mid-level providers to support patient flow and continuity of care
• Manage an average patient load of 18-20 patients per shift
• Use Meditech 6.1 for documentation and clinical workflow
• Coordinate care with specialty and support services, including anesthesia, general surgery, orthopedics, and radiology
• Deliver efficient, high-quality care in a busy Emergency Department environment
