Emergency Medicine Physician - Locum Tenens
Location: Jackson County
Employment Type: Locum Tenens / 1099
Compensation: $140 per hour, with flexibility for an exceptional candidate
We are seeking a Board Certified or Board Eligible physician to provide Emergency Department coverage at a community hospital in Jackson County.
Position Details
- Approximately 5,000 annual ED visits
- EPIC EMR
- Primarily 24-hour shifts: 7:30 AM - 7:30 AM
- Providers may also have the option to work 36- or 48-hour shifts
- Limited 12-hour shift availability
- Flexible scheduling for candidates with flexible availability
- Temporary privileges available
- Estimated credentialing timeframe: 2-3 months
- Travel expenses are the responsibility of the provider
- Time-and-a-half pay for major holidays
Clinical Support
- Most patients requiring higher-level or specialty care are transferred out
- APP hospitalists and telehospitalists are available for inpatient admissions
Qualifications
- Board Certified or Board Eligible in Emergency Medicine, Internal Medicine, or Family Medicine
- Emergency Department experience strongly preferred
- Active state medical license or ability to obtain licensure
- Ability to work independently in a community Emergency Department setting
