A Level IV Trauma Center in East Texas is seeking a Board Certified Emergency Medicine Physician for a 3-month locum tenens assignment, with the potential for expedited privileges for qualified candidates. This hospital-based opportunity features 12-hour day and night shifts, travel and lodging provided, and a collaborative emergency department environment.

- Contract Length: Approximately 3 months
- Schedule: 12-hour shifts
- 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM
- 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM
- Call: None
- EMR: Medhost
- Credentialing: Approximately 90 days; expedited privileges available for clean files
- Travel & Lodging: Provided
Clinical Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive emergency medicine coverage in the emergency department
- Evaluate, diagnose, and treat a wide range of acute medical conditions
- Document patient care using Medhost EMR
- Collaborate with hospital staff to ensure high-quality emergency care
Requirements
- MD or DO
- Board Certified in Emergency Medicine, Family Medicine, Internal Medicine, or General Surgery
- Completion of residency training in EM, FM, IM, or GS
- Minimum of 2 years of recent Emergency Medicine or related clinical experience
- Active, unrestricted Texas medical license
- Active Texas DEA with Texas address
- Ability to provide two years of case logs and CME/CEU documentation
- Current required immunizations, including TB, COVID, influenza, MMR, Varicella, and Hepatitis B
- Clean file preferred for expedited privileges
