Emergency Medicine Physician (MD or DO) (Locum Tenens)
Location: Texas
Schedule: Day and night shifts; schedule varies
Position Overview
Emergency medicine coverage in a community emergency department. Providers should be comfortable practicing independently, managing acute and emergent conditions, and working within a shift-based coverage model.
Clinical Scope
Emergency department evaluation and management
Collaboration with APP coverage
Emergency procedures consistent with site capability
Required Qualifications
MD or DO
Active, unrestricted Texas medical license
Board certification or board eligibility preferred (Emergency Medicine preferred)
Active DEA registered to Texas address if required for the role
Current ACLS, ATLS, and PALS may be required per site and board status
Candidates must have at least two years of clinical experience within the past five years to qualify
Facility and Systems
EMR: Cerner
Credentialing and Onboarding
Credentialing timelines vary by site and may include temporary privileges for complete files
