Emergency Medicine Physician (MD or DO) (Locum Tenens)
Location: Mississippi
Schedule: Ongoing coverage; minimum monthly shift commitment may apply
Position Overview
Emergency medicine physician coverage supporting a community emergency department. Providers must meet credentialing and onboarding requirements and be ready to practice independently.
Clinical Scope
Emergency department evaluation and management
Collaboration with nursing and support teams
Emergency procedures consistent with site capability
Required Qualifications
MD or DO
Active, unrestricted Mississippi medical license
Board certification or board eligibility must meet site requirements
DEA registered to Mississippi address if required for the role
Current ACLS, ATLS, PALS, and BLS may be required per site and board status
Candidates must have at least two years of clinical experience within the past five years to qualify
Credentialing and Onboarding
Credentialing may require recent case logs and CME documentation
Immunization and screening documentation is required per site policy
