Clinical Role
Join an Emergency Medicine team in Loxahatchee, Florida, providing locum coverage during a period of increased patient volume and physician recruitment challenges. This opportunity offers PM shift coverage in a busy Emergency Department setting.
Assignment Details
Start Date: September – October 2026 (latest)
Assignment Length: Duration currently unknown
Schedule: Usually 10-hour shifts PM shifts needed
Orientation:
- Typically 2 shadow shifts
- If provider does not have Expanse EMR experience: 3 shadow shifts plus EMR training (2 hours)
Reason for Coverage: Lost physician 4 months ago with ongoing recruitment challenges and higher-than-anticipated summer volumes

Facility Details
- 33 ER bays
- Patient volume: Approximately 1.8–2.0 patients per hour
- No pediatric patients (dedicated pediatric unit)
- Admission rate: 26–30%
- Staffing model:
- 3–4 Emergency Medicine physicians
- 3 Advanced Practice Providers
- Standard Emergency Department support staff
Clinical Responsibilities
- Evaluate and treat emergency department patients
- Manage a broad range of emergency conditions
- Collaborate with physicians, APPs, nursing staff, and hospital teams
- Provide high-quality emergency medical care during assigned shifts
Requirements
- Board Certified or Board Eligible in Emergency Medicine required
- Minimum 6 months of Emergency Medicine experience required

Orientation Requirements: Shadow shifts and EMR training based on provider experience
