Overview

A Level III Trauma Center in Indiana is seeking a Locum Emergency Medicine Physician to provide ongoing emergency department coverage. This opportunity offers flexible scheduling in a collaborative environment with strong specialty and advanced practice support.

Assignment Details

• Specialty: Emergency Medicine
• Location: Indiana
• Start Date: October 27, 2026
• Assignment Length: Approximately 3 months with potential for extension
• Schedule: Flexible shifts; days, evenings, and nights available
• Call: None

Practice Setting

• Hospital-based Emergency Department
• Level III Trauma Center
• Advanced Practice Provider and scribe support
• Dedicated specialty treatment areas
• Collaborative multidisciplinary team

Responsibilities

• Evaluate, diagnose, and treat patients with a broad spectrum of emergency medical conditions
• Perform emergency medicine procedures, including moderate sedation
• Provide trauma stabilization and resuscitation as needed
• Collaborate with emergency physicians, advanced practice providers, specialists, nursing staff, and ancillary teams
• Document patient care accurately within the electronic medical record

Requirements

• Board Certified in Emergency Medicine (ABEM/AOBEM) or qualifying equivalent experience
• Active Indiana medical license
• Active Indiana DEA and applicable controlled substance registration
• Current BLS certification
• Recent emergency medicine experience
• Case logs available for credentialing
