  • Support Staff Available: NP/PA coverage, scribe support

REQUIRED PROCEDURES

  • Moderate Sedation

JOB REQUIREMENTS

  • Board: Board Certified – ABEM or AOBEM (or current ABMS-recognized specialty with at least five years continuous full time experience in high volume ED)
  • Licenses: Active unrestricted IN Medical License, IN State Controlled Substance, DEA with IN address & schedules 2,2N,3,3N,4
  • DEA / CDS: Active DEA and IN Controlled Substance required
  • Certifications: BLS
  • Experience: EM residency graduate within past 12 months or IM with five years continuous full time experience in high volume (>30,000 visits/year) ED
  • Other Qualifications: Case logs for past 2 years, completed CME Attestation Form, required immunizations (Flu, TB, COVID)

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Provide comprehensive emergency medical care to patients in a Level III trauma center with a 33-bed ED and 3 trauma bays.
  • Perform moderate sedation procedures as required.
  • Collaborate with NP/PA providers and scribe support to manage a high-volume patient census (~50,000 annual visits).
  • Manage trauma, cardiac, and specialty cases including ENT, orthopedics, and GYN in dedicated specialty care rooms.
  • Maintain licensure, board certification, and compliance with all facility credentialing and immunization requirements.
