Emergency Medicine Physician – Locum Tenens | Iowa
Join a busy, well-supported Emergency Department at a Level III Trauma Center in Iowa offering flexible scheduling, Epic EMR, and competitive compensation.

Approximately 77 ED patients per day

250-bed community hospital

APP support available
Practice Environment
-
Hospital-based Emergency Department
-
Physician coverage with 1–2 physicians during the day and 1 physician overnight
-
1–2 Advanced Practice Providers on shift
-
Physician supervision of APPs required
-
Adult and pediatric emergency medicine cases
-
Less than 3% patient transfer rate
Requirements
-
Board Certified ABEM or Family Medicine
-
Active Iowa license or IMLC
-
Clean background
-
ACLS & PALS (waived for ABEM physicians) and ATLS for trauma privileges
-
Ability to credential quickly
Current Coverage Needs
Multiple 9- and 12-hour shifts available throughout July and August for qualified providers with an active Iowa license or IMLC eligibility.
