Seeking BC/BE Emergency Medicine Physician for dedicated Nocturnist role in Dothan, Alabama
Position Highlights:
- Dedicated nocturnist schedule: 5:00 PM – 3:00 AM
- Level II Trauma Center with high-acuity patient population
- All physicians are residency-trained and board-certified in Emergency Medicine
- Independent Fast Track staffed by Advanced Practice Providers
- Zone-based care model with Physician, APP, and RN working collaboratively in each zone
- Equitable scheduling model with a 7-day block off every month
- Average of 14 shifts per month
- Combination of 9- and 10-hour shifts
- Opportunity to teach residents and medical students
- Supportive physician-led emergency medicine team
Responsibilities:
- Evaluate and treat emergency department patients during dedicated nocturnist shifts
- Manage high-acuity emergency and trauma cases
- Collaborate with APPs, nursing staff, and specialists
- Participate in resident and medical student education
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation
- Deliver high-quality, patient-centered emergency care
Qualifications:
- Board Eligible or Board Certified in Emergency Medicine
- Completion of Emergency Medicine residency training
- Eligible for Alabama medical licensure
