Job description
We are seeking an Emergency Medicine Physician for a locum tenens position in Ocala, FL. This is an ongoing scheduled coverage opportunity at an acute care hospital with affiliated freestanding emergency departments in the area. Please see below for more information.
Bed Count: 31 beds (main facility); 28 beds (affiliated location)
Trauma Level: Level II
Job Responsibilities
Work 12-hour day and night shifts; 8-hour shift options also available
No call required
Collaborate with APP support, availability dependent on shift and time of day
Function within an active EM residency program environment
Perform all standard emergency medicine procedures including central access, arterial line, lumbar puncture, intubation, cardiac pacing, and orthopedic stabilization
Qualifications
Active Florida medical license required; IMLC accepted
ATLS certification required
Working Hours
8-hour shift options also available
Scheduled coverage only; no call required
Orientation includes onboarding session and shadow shifts
