Job description
We are seeking an Emergency Medicine Physician for a locum tenens position in Orlando, FL. This is an opportunity to work in a brand new freestanding emergency department with a full trauma bay. Please see below for more information.
Freestanding ED (Acute Care)
11 emergency room bays including a fully equipped trauma bay
Projecting approximately 15,000 ER visits in year one (~42 visits per day)
Patients requiring admission are transported to the main campus with seamless handoff to intensivists, hospitalists, and specialists
Job Responsibilities
Cover scheduled day shifts with no call required
Collaborate with on-campus specialists and facilitate smooth patient transitions for admissions
Complete a 2-hour onboarding orientation plus two shadow shifts prior to independent practice
Document patient care accurately using the facility EMR
Qualifications
ATLS, PALS, and ACLS required prior to submission
Active Florida state medical license required (IMLC accepted)
Working Hours
Days per week: 5
Coverage: Scheduled shifts only, no call
