Job description
We are seeking an Emergency Medicine Physician for a permanent position in Roanoke Rapids, NC. This is a full-time permanent opportunity within a well-supported emergency department. Please see below for more information.
- 26-bed ED with 6 dedicated psychiatric beds
- Inpatient & outpatient setting with shared call
- Support staff includes NPs, PAs, and 8 physicians
- Full scope of hospital services including General Surgery, OB/GYN, Orthopedics, Primary Care, Oncology, Behavioral Health, Cardiology, Nephrology, and Pediatrics
- 24-hour hospitalist and radiology coverage
- Tele-stroke support and cath lab onsite
- Air transport support available to regional medical center as needed
Job Responsibilities
Participate in shared call coverage
Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team including NPs, PAs, and physicians
Utilize tele-stroke and cath lab resources as clinically indicated
Coordinate air transport to regional medical center when necessary
Qualifications
Board certified or board eligible in Emergency Medicine
Active North Carolina medical license or ability to obtain
Active DEA license
BLS and ACLS certification required
