Locums - Carlisle, Pennsylvania, Emergency Medicine Opening

Join a community hospital Emergency Department offering a manageable patient volume and a supportive clinical environment. This opportunity is ideal for physicians seeking consistent night shifts with strong team support and a balanced workload.

Start Date: April 20, 2026 Contract Length: 13 weeks

Position Highlights:

• 24-hour night shifts (7p–7a)

• Full-time coverage needed

• Manageable patient volume

• Collaborative ED team with physician, APP, and nursing support

• Open to EM or IM-trained physicians

• Night shifts: 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM

• Consistent full-time schedule

• Standard 5-shift rotation

• Setting: Community hospital

• ED size: 10 beds

• Inpatient beds: 10

• Patient population: All ages

• Patient volume: 25–30 patients per day

Responsibilities Include:

• Evaluating and treating emergency department patients

• Managing a broad spectrum of acute conditions

• Ordering and interpreting diagnostic studies

• Coordinating admissions and transfers as needed

• Collaborating with APPs and clinical support staff

Available Resources:

• On-site CT and imaging services

• APP support as needed

• Nursing and technician support

• Team-based care model with physicians, APPs, nurses, and techs

Technology:

• EMR: Epic

• Board Certified or Board Eligible in Emergency Medicine or Internal Medicine

• Active Pennsylvania license required

• DEA required

• ABEM certification preferred but not required

• Minimum 1 year of experience required
