Job Requirements

• Board Certified in Emergency Medicine (Board Certified Emergency Physician)
• Active Wisconsin Physician License (WI license required)
• Minimum 1 year of Emergency Medicine experience
• ACLS and ATLS certifications required
• Fellowship preferred
• Ability to work both day and night shifts as needed (flexible scheduling for locum work)

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality emergency care to patients in the Emergency Department (ED physician duties)
• Manage approximately 20 patient encounters per shift
• Collaborate with General Surgery, Orthopedics, Labor & Delivery, and Hospitalist teams
• Utilize Telestroke and Tele ICU services to support patient care (telemedicine / tele-ICU experience valued)
• Respond to emergencies and coordinate with onsite UW helicopter for critical cases
• Participate in ongoing coverage needs for the department (per diem/locum scheduling)
