JOB OVERVIEW
• Job Title: Emergency Medicine Physician
• Job Type: Locum Tenens
• Location: Carlisle, PA
• Service Setting: Hospital
• Coverage Type: Clinical Only
• Coverage Period: April 20, 2026 – Ongoing
• Clinical Shift Schedule: 24-hour in-house shifts, 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM (PRN)
• Call Type: In-House

• Starting April 20, 2026 – Ongoing
PATIENT INFORMATION
• Patient Demographics: Neonates, Infants, Pediatrics, Adolescents, Adults, Geriatrics
• Patient Volume/Census: 25–30 patients per day
• Admissions: Yes
• Case Mix: Emergency Medicine – Community Hospital Setting
FACILITY INFORMATION
• No. of Beds in Department: 20 (10 ED beds, 10 inpatient beds)
• EMR System: Epic
• Office Equipment Available: CT and imaging available
• Specialty Backup Available: Yes
• Support Staff Available: Physicians, Nurses, Technicians, APPs
• Reason for Coverage: Supplemental Coverage
PRIVILEGES & COMPLIANCE
• Hospital Privileges Required: Yes
• Temporary Privileges Available: Yes (for clean files and urgent needs only)
• Credentialing Timeline: Approximately 90 days
COMPENSATION & BENEFITS
• Travel, Lodging, and Malpractice Insurance: Covered
REQUIRED PROCEDURES
• Emergency Department patient evaluation and management
• Stabilization of acute medical conditions
• Interpretation of diagnostic imaging and labs
JOB REQUIREMENTS
• Licenses: Active PA license required
• Board: BC/BE in Emergency Medicine or Internal Medicine (ABEM preferred but not required)
• DEA: Active DEA required (PA address required)
• Experience: Minimum 1 year Emergency Medicine experience
• Other Qualifications: Proficiency with Epic EMR required
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
• Provide emergency medical care to patients of all ages
• Manage patient flow and coordinate care in a community hospital ED
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary team including physicians and APPs
• Perform assessments, diagnoses, and treatment plans
• Ensure timely documentation and compliance with facility protocols
