Assignment Overview

• Specialty: Emergency Medicine
• Board Certification: BC (ABEM, ABIM, or ABFM)
• License: Active PA License or IMLC (in hand at submission)
• DEA: PA DEA required
• Certifications: ACLS, ATLS, PALS
• Experience: Minimum 2 years
• Minimum Availability: 5 shifts/month (62.5 hours)

Schedule & Coverage

• Shift: 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM (Nocturnist)
  
• Full-Time Need: 125 hours/month
• Start: July 2026
• Temp Privileges: Available with active PA license and clean record

Practice Setting

• Emergency Department (Non-trauma center)
• Annual Volume: ~19,500 patients
• Daily Census: ~52 patients
• Admissions: 5–6 per day/night
• Patients per Hour: 1.7 – 2.0
• Support Staff: One APP (mid-day shift)
• Work Environment: Solo physician coverage overnight
• EMR: Epic

Clinical Responsibilities

• Evaluate and treat a wide range of emergency cases across varying acuity levels
• Perform procedures including:
  • Intubations
  • Resuscitations
  • Ultrasound-guided IVs
  • Laceration repairs
  • Cardiac pacing and defibrillation
• Manage critical cases such as:
  • Sepsis
  • Stroke
  • STEMI
• Interpret X-rays independently overnight
• Collaborate with onsite consult services and ED staff

Patient Population

• Adult: 90%
• Pediatric: 10%
