Locums – Pennsylvania (1 Hour from Pittsburgh) – Emergency Medicine Physician Job

Clinical Role:

• Seeking a board certified or truly board eligible Emergency Medicine physician
• Client is open to Emergency Medicine or Family Medicine trained physicians
• Start Date: July 1, 2026
• Solo physician coverage
• Work alongside one APP (mid-day shift)
• Not a trauma center
• Multiple consult services available onsite
• EMR: Epic

Schedule:

• 7p–7a shifts
• Looking for providers to cover approximately 100–125 hours per month
• Must be able to work at least 5 shifts per month

Clinical Details:

• Annual Volume: ~19,500 patients
• Average Census (Day/Night): 52
• Patients per Hour: 1.7–2.0
• Average Admissions per Day/Night: 5–6
• Focus on physician wellness with staffing ratios generally under 2 patients per hour
• Responsibilities include evaluating a wide range of patient acuity, making timely diagnoses, and determining appropriate treatment plans while collaborating with ED staff

Requirements:

• Active Pennsylvania license or IMLC eligibility required for temporary privileges
• Clean professional record required
