We are seeking a Locums Emergency Medicine Physician to join a Level II Trauma Center in Hot Springs, AR. This role offers a high-volume, hands-on emergency department experience with a variety of acute and trauma cases. The ideal candidate is confident in advanced emergency procedures and enjoys a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
Schedule & Shift Details
- Shift Types: Days, Nights, Evenings
- Coverage
Times:
- 6:00 AM – 3:00 PM
- 8:00 AM – 6:00 PM
- 10:00 AM – 10:00 PM
- 2:00 PM – 12:00 AM
- 6:00 PM – 4:00 AM
- 10:00 PM – 6:00 AM
- Average Hours/Month: ~130 hours
- Flexible scheduling available
Practice Setting
- Level II Trauma Center
- High-acuity emergency department
- Collaborative team environment with physicians, APPs, and nursing staff
- EMR System: EPIC with Dragon dictation
Clinical Responsibilities
- Evaluate and manage approximately 1.8 patients per hour
- Perform
emergency procedures including:
- Reductions
- Cardioversions
- Moderate sedation
- Laceration repair
- Chest tube placement
- Intubations
- Central line placement
- Management of traumatic injuries
- Interpret EKGs and monitor cardiac patients
- Provide timely and accurate documentation in EPIC/Dragon
Requirements & Certifications
- Board Certified or Board Eligible in Emergency Medicine
- Active Arkansas medical license
- ACLS, ATLS, BLS, PLAS, DEA certification
- Proven experience in high-volume emergency medicine and trauma care
