Locums – Washington, Pennsylvania – Emergency Medicine Physician Job

Clinical Role:

• Seeking a board certified or truly board eligible family medicine or emergency medicine physician
• ASAP – ongoing need
• Work across two sites (~30 miles apart); scheduled at one location per shift
• Not a trauma center
• Need multiple providers; ~70 open shifts
• Seeking 2 full-time locums (~125 hours each)
• Flexibility required for scheduling across both sites

Schedule Options:

• Site 1: 6a–4p, 10a–8p, 4p–1a, 8p–6a
• Site 2: 7a–7p, 7p–7a

Clinical Details:

• Patients per shift:
  • Site 1: 18–20
  • Site 2: 16–24
• APP supervision required (APPs practice independently)
• Hospitalists on staff at both locations
• Admissions: ED provider places bridge orders (minimal responsibility)
• Code response:
  • Site 1: Intensivist leads
  • Site 2: ED physician leads
• Site 1 census averages ~8 patients/day (limited codes/RRTs)
• Required procedures: chest tubes, cricothyrotomy, and standard EM procedures
• APP coverage available during mid-day shifts
• Annual Volume:
  • Site 1: ~52,000 patients (busy)
  • Site 2: ~18,000 patients (8 treatment rooms)
• EMR: Sunrise
