Locums – St. Louis, Missouri | Urgent Care Opportunity (IMLC Accepted)
Clinical Role
Join a high-volume, modern urgent care network in St. Louis offering flexible scheduling and ongoing coverage needs. This is an excellent opportunity for physicians who thrive in a fast-paced environment and enjoy a mix of adult and pediatric care.
Start Date: ASAP – ongoing need
Position Highlights:
- Up to 24 shifts per month available
- Preference for providers able to work blocks of shifts (including weekends)
- Work across multiple state-of-the-art urgent care centers
- Strong support staff including medical assistants, scribes, and radiology techs
- Local providers preferred for ongoing continuity
- Must be willing to work 12-hour shifts
- Clinic hours:
- Monday–Friday: 8:00 AM – 8:00 PM
- Weekends: 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM (may transition to 12-hour shifts)
- Typically scheduled in blocks of 4 consecutive shifts
- Providers must submit at least 2 weeks of availability (more preferred)
- No Overtime
- Setting: Urgent Care Centers
- Patient volume: 36–48 patients per shift
- Patient population: Ages 6 months and up (pediatrics + adults)
- 4-bed facilities with onsite X-ray and EKG
- Suturing, wound care, I&Ds, splinting, casting
- IV placement
- EKG and X-ray interpretation/overreads
- Must have documented experience with at least 50 patient encounters in the past 12 months
- EMR: Epic (experience preferred)
- Training provided post-credentialing
- Support staff includes MAs, scribes, and radiology techs (no RN/LPN support)
- Board Certified or Board Eligible (within 5 years) in:
- Emergency Medicine
- Family Medicine
- Med/Peds
- Must be ABMS or AOB certified (no other boards accepted)
- Residency trained (required)
- BLS certification required (must be from American Heart Association)
- Active MO License or IMLC Accepted
- Must be comfortable treating both adult and pediatric patients
