Hospital Details
San Antonio’s Baptist Emergency Hospitals are not freestanding emergency departments, but rather “micro hospitals” offering inpatient services as well as 24/7 emergency medical care. Each facility is distinguished by offering streamlined admitting procedures, highly qualified Physician and medical specialists at every level of care, and the latest diagnostic equipment.
The new Kelly location is situated on the southwest side of San Antonio.
Emergency Department
- ED Volume: 26,000
- ED Beds: 15
- Inpatient Beds: 8
- Coverage: 12-hour shifts with 24 hours of Physician coverage per day plus APP support
- Documentation: Picis
- Qualifications: BC/BP in Emergency Medicine, or BC/BP in a primary specialty (Family Medicine or Internal Medicine) with recent experience and current ATLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications with Emergency Medicine experience
- 24/7 in-house X-ray and CT capabilities
- 24/7 Ultrasound on-call
- 24/7 radiology reads for all imaging modalities
