Emergency Medicine Physician (Locum) - North Carolina

SMART is actively recruiting for a locum Emergency Medicine Physician to provide coverage for a client of ours in North Carolina.

Qualifications:

• License requirements: Must have Active NC license
• Certification requirements: ABEM/AOBEM, ABFM
• Any additional requirements specific to job (i.e. specific availability, specific certifications, etc.) ACLS, ATLS, PALS, BLS

Job Summary:

• Shift times: Day and Night Shifts. 7a-7p & 7p-7a
• Additional details:
  • What is the patient volume per hour?: 1
  • Are scribe services offered?: no
  • EM experience : 3 + years
  • Trauma designation Level: Level 4
• Additional Details:
  • This is a solo provider position at a rural, critical access hospital. No backup provider coverage on site. This position does both EM and HM. Both services are required while on shift. HM is predominantly Swing Bed rehab medical coverage and does require admission, discharge, and progress notes. Avg daily EM volume is 25 patients/24 hours. 17 bed hospital unit. Avg HM encounters can vary, but avg 2-3/daily. 12 hour shifts. Full service radiology services 24/7 at Swain facility. Full service lab 24/7 at facility. Respiratory Therapy is available 24/7 at facility. Active ATLS, ACLS, PALS, and BLS required. Prefer candidate with active NC licensure and DEA. Must have experience in both EM and HM to be considered. Prior experience as solo provider strongly preferred.
