Emergency Medicine Physician (Locum Tenens) – Oakland, Maryland
Position Overview
We are actively seeking a Board-Certified Emergency Medicine Physician to provide locum tenens coverage at a community-focused acute care hospital in Maryland. This is an urgent need due to a provider on maternity leave, with immediate coverage gaps and additional dates expected.
This is a high-priority opportunity with fast credentialing and strong support staff. The client is actively reviewing candidates and working with multiple agencies—quick submission is key.
Scope of Practice
- Full-scope Emergency Medicine
- Cases include:
- Trauma
- Cardiac
- Pediatric patients
- Must be comfortable treating all ages
- Ability to manage variable patient volumes and diverse case acuity
Requirements
- Degree: MD or DO
- Board Certification: Emergency Medicine (ABEM or AOBEM) – Required
- License: Active Maryland medical license – Required
- Experience: Minimum 3 years of current ER experience
- EMR: EPIC
- Must have a clean background for expedited credentialing
