Providers must be available for a minimum of 5 shifts per month, with 8–10 shifts preferred, and have ongoing availability for at least 12 months.

Position Highlights

• Shift Options:

  • 8:00 AM – 8:00 PM

  • 8:00 PM – 8:00 AM

• Minimum Availability: 5 shifts per month (8–10 preferred)

• Ongoing Locums: 12+ month assignment

• Average Patients per Shift: 15–20 per provider

• Physician Responsibilities:

  • Supervise Advanced Practice Providers

  • Write admission orders

  • Collaborate with hospital specialists including Radiology, Cardiology, Pulmonology, Gastroenterology, Urology, and Hematology/Oncology

  • Deliveries are sent directly to Labor & Delivery

Requirements

• Board Certified (ABMS or AOA) in Internal Medicine or Family Medicine – required, no exceptions

• Minimum 2+ years of recent Emergency Medicine experience

• Active certifications required:

  • ACLS

  • ATLS

  • BLS

  • PALS

  • NRP

• Clean background required

• Self-query NPDB required
